Most of the poetry I like is based on how difficult it would be to translate in one of the languages I know.

In a rare diaristic moment, I start my Localization Coordinator position at Ubisoft next Monday. Which is a very fancy word for translator. Are there other poets working in the videogame industry?

James Howell, a friend of mine in the English department here at USM, writes for the video game industry and is a poet. He runs DELTAHEAD Translation Group. I'd point you to some links to his work, but he hasn't published anything yet.

Yeah, I don't think I'll translate anything from Japanese for a while. It's strictly, for now, English to Canadian French. And only the manuals and packaging.

I wonder exactly how "Localization Coordinator" translates into "Translator"? I'm fairly sure that's not in the Littré . . .

Localization means translation into a particular variant of a language, in my case, Canadian French.
