Notes on translation
Despite the distance of an ocean between them, there are a lot of similarities between the poetries of Rémi Froger and a. rawlings, at least between Chutes, essais, trafics and wide slumber for lepidopterists (though those similarities are not there in their latter projects, routes, repérages and LOGYoLOGY & echology). Namely, the playfulness of a seemingly simple language (in the former) and the seeming preciousness of the former, the shifting strata between semiotics and spelling, syntax and homophones. Hence perhaps the difficulty of translating both.
