Really not quite sure what is with Ron Paul's popularity. The only thing he has going for himself is his opposition to the Iraqi invasion. He's basically Pat Buchanan, but without the baggage. Granted, Pat Buchanan makes more sense than the majority of Republicans nowadays, which is somehow frightening. Let's remember that Buchanan was friends at some point with Jean-Marie Le Pen, the leader of the French fascist party, le Front National.
