Yes, I am also quite annoyed when a book review starts with "Now we have his 14th collection, and it's easy to see why: His work is accessible yet progresses from the quotidian to the very moving" and goes on to say nothing.

Meanwhile, Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Pachelbel's Canon are stuck in my head. Not sure why, I haven't listened to the former in years and don't even like them. The latter seems to be a fixture of Korean chick flicks. I'd like to know why.

I am laughing at the idea that those who aren't on their 14th book are inaccessible, which of course, I know my work is.

You don't like Beethoven's 9th? What are you, Malcolm McDowell?

I was literally force-fed with Beethoven's 9th in music school. Hence my dislike of it. I don't hate, just dislike it.
