I find it hilarious that even the American Conservative is urging its readers to vote Democrat tomorrow.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow, peeps, because you know I can't. For Texan readers, vote Chris Bell for governor, not Kinky Friedman, not Carol Keeton Strayhorn and certainly not Rick Perry. And vote Nick Lampson, not Shelly Sekula-Gibbs, even though Lampson has been endorsed by the NRA. And vote Henley, because John Culberson is a dick.

I was once at Wanfu in Austin around 2 or 3AM and there was this striking guy in black with a cowboy hat on. Scraggly hair, beard, chewing on the nub of a cigar. He looked like the most authentic cowboy I'd ever seen. Really badass lookin mofo, like Eastwood in his hayday. Then he and his friends left and one of the guys from the table next to us tells the others how it was Kinky Friedman....so it was, though I had no idea. I gotta say, he seemed like a bad ass mofo. If I were still in Texas, I'd vote for him!

Though I see your likely point (though you didn't even say it) that he'd take the far left vote away from the left (which stands a much greater chance to defeat the right than he) and then we'd end up somewhere in the middle right, the confused aftermath of direction, wondering which way was Houston, Dallas, El Paso...somewhere in Brownsville...the aftermath...uglieness...another Bush born...the apolcalypse...you name it. It all starts in Texas...
