Wow! So apparently, Raymond Domenech, the current manager of the French national team, used to play for the Racing Club de Strasbourg back when they were good (1979. The club is now in Ligue 2, but is managed by Jean-Pierre Papin). So I can be doubly proud of les Bleus for reaching the finals.

(I also used to live two blocks away from the Stade de la Meinau, RC Strasbourg's home stadium. Back then, we were a Ligue 1 team again)
